What we do not collect
Tax Calculator US (“we”, “us”) runs entirely in your web browser. The pay, filing status, contributions and other figures you enter are processed on your device. They are not transmitted to our servers, not stored in a database, and not tied to an account, because the site has no accounts or sign-in.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider may log standard technical data when pages are requested, such as:
- IP address, browser type and device type
- Pages visited, referring page and time of visit
This is used to keep the site secure and reliable and to understand overall traffic.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics to learn which pages are useful. It collects usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type, and sets cookies to do so (see Google’s privacy policy). It does not receive the numbers you type into the calculators. We may in future show advertising from third-party networks. Those providers may use cookies or similar technologies to measure performance and serve ads. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalized advertising through your browser or industry opt-out tools. If we add advertising or analytics, this policy will be updated to name the providers.
Information you send us
If you email us at hello@taxcalculator.us.com, we receive your email address and message so we can reply. We do not sell this information.
Third-party links
Pages may link to government and third-party sites, such as irs.gov. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Children’s privacy
The site is a general-audience tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Your rights
Because we do not keep personal data about calculator use, there is generally nothing to access or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, such as an email you sent, contact us and we will help, including under applicable US state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site grows. The “last updated” date above shows the latest revision.
